The use of a primer coat is obligatory on all supports (except when applying directly on mesh or mat type reinforcement, or expanded metal sheet).
The primer coat ensures the adherence of the finish. It forms part of the system (see DTU 27-1, AFNOR standard P 15-202-1, article 4.2).
Prior to spraying ISOTHERM or ISOFLAM the application contractor shall ensure that spraying is carried out within exactly the same conditions as the fire resistance rating test that shall take precedence over any conditions indicated in any other specifications (even DTU, article 7.3).
As a result, this implies the use of a primer coat of the same brand as that used during the tests and included in our test reports (otherwise, neither our liability nor our manufacturer’s guarantee can be incurred in the event of a claim).
To optimise the quality of products in the range, we have installed a new primer coat manufacturing division in our Senlis plant. This ultra-modern unit is a reflection of our wish to ensure full traceability and control over our products alongside a complete service for our sprayed insulation system customers.
To ensure the best adherence of our products on the various supports to be treated, we propose three types of primary bonding coats (ISOFIX BT, ISOFIX TS, ISOFIX PLUS).
